We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Junior Sous Chef at L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels. What will the role involve? The role of a Junior Sous Chef at L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa involves supporting the delivery of an exceptional culinary experience for guests, ensuring that dishes consistently reflect quality, care, and seasonal flair. Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef team, the Junior Sous Chef will assist with food preparation and service, maintain high standards of presentation and flavour, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.

As Junior Sous Chef, your role will focus on supporting the wider culinary team, leading by example during service, and continuing to build your skills within a high-performing kitchen. Responsibilities will include helping to supervise sections, assisting with stock control and food safety standards, supporting junior team members, and contributing to menu preparation across the hotel, including private dining and special events, while ensuring every dish enhances the guest experience. This is a full-time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 45 hours per week, which may vary depending on business.
