We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant at New Hall Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels. New Hall Hotel & Spa is a stunning and unique hotel, dating back to the 13th century and steeped in history, a fine example of medieval architecture, and stands proudly as England’s oldest listed inhabited moated house. At 800 years old, this luxurious hotel has a long history of delivering exceptional hospitality to discerning guests.
About the Role
As Maintenance Assistant your role will involve ensuring our hotel is both safe and functional for our guests and colleagues. Combining a mixture of proactive and reactive maintenance responsibilities. Conducting general hotel maintenance, looking after the property and the staff accommodation like it’s your own. Be responsible for scheduling regular health and safety checks, ensuring Hand Picked Hotels adheres to all regulatory standards. You will be responsible for the upkeep of the facilities to the highest standards to deliver an excellent guest experience. Most of all we will want you to be inspired, have fun and enjoy being part of our Hand Picked Team.
About you
To be considered for this role you will have previous experience in Maintenance and a wide range of skills and knowledge. You’ll be motivated by keeping this historic Hotel looking her best and in excellent working order. Enjoy being responsible and taking ownership of the safety and security of the Hotel and all of its guests is paramount for this role. You’ll enjoy working with people and building a rapport with your colleagues and guests. Most of all, you’ll have a professional, organised and friendly approach.

- A competitive salary package of £14 per hour with incremental pay reviews based on recognition of commitment and performance plus a share of service charge.
- This is a Full‑Time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business needs.
