We are currently recruiting for a Casual Bartender at New Hall Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels. New Hall Hotel & Spa is a stunning and unique hotel, dating back to the 13th Century and steeped in history. It stands proudly as England’s oldest listed inhabited moated house. At 800 years old, this luxurious hotel has a long history of delivering exceptional hospitality to discerning guests. Replete with contemporary comforts, our spa and health club offers an oasis of relaxation complemented by our award-winning 2AA Rosette restaurant and extensive meetings and events operation, which is a popular choice for weddings, bespoke events and conferences.
About the Role
The role of a Bartender involves assisting the team in ensuring delivery of the bar operations to Hand Picked Hotels standards, ensuring high standards of presentation are always maintained. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing, creating and serving a variety of bar snacks and beverages.
- Seeking opportunities for creativity and upselling.
- Maintaining a good level of knowledge regarding food/drink menu items and availability across all areas including the bar and restaurant.
- Working towards the achievement of departmental goals, contributing ideas and being open to trying new ways of working.
- Communicating and delegating in line with business levels and events within the hotel.

About You
To be considered for this role, you will have previous bartending experience within a quality-driven environment. You will be enthusiastic and willing to take on new responsibilities, adopting a flexible approach to assist in different areas of the hotel as business and guest needs dictate. A high level of emotional intelligence is essential, enabling you to anticipate our guests' needs and ensure they receive a Hand Picked experience. You must demonstrate how you would deliver our guest experience standards at Hand Picked Hotels, going above and beyond to ensure guests have a high-quality, personalised, and magical experience that they remember, recommend, and return to time and time again.
