Each property has an individual character, with distinctive architecture and breathtaking locations from Scotland to the Channel Islands. About the role: You will be based in either Jersey or Guernsey on a part‑time basis, leading the creative design and transformation of gardens across all Hand Picked Hotels in the Channel Islands. You will set horticultural standards, enhance guest experience, support commercial objectives and embody the ethos of Hand Picked Hotels.
- Create outstanding, original gardens that reflect the group ethos, integrating interior and exterior spaces and responding to each hotel’s heritage and sense of place.
- Communicate frequently with Shareholders to align vision, balancing guest experience, aesthetic appeal, maintenance practicalities and cost implications.
- Liaise with onsite hotel teams to ensure gardens complement storytelling and integrate into operations.
- Collaborate with the Head of Garden Delivery and Garden Managers to oversee design execution, prioritising and focusing garden design work for each hotel.
About you: Exceptional, in‑depth garden design experience in a luxury environment. Excellent knowledge of Vectorworks/CAD training. Experience implementing kitchen and herb gardens. Strong communication, interpersonal skills and a can‑do attitude. Ability to evaluate and prioritise requests with a focus on execution and results. Experience with historic listed properties and gardens is an advantage. Flexible, highly motivated, passionate team player.
