Hand Picked Hotels was founded in 2001 by owner, Chairman and CEO, Julia Hands MBE. Julia's love of historical buildings, the English countryside, local food and good wine inspired her dream to own a collection of hotels that would celebrate these passions and invite others to share in them. This role requires a strong understanding of multi-channel marketing, digital performance, brand positioning, and strategic partnerships. The Divisional Marketing Director will work closely with the Hotel General Managers and the Divisional Managing Director to ensure marketing efforts align with the overall commercial and brand objectives of the Division and Hand Picked Hotels. This includes overseeing creative campaigns, PR efforts, and digital marketing initiatives to maximise brand awareness and customer engagement.
As a Divisional Marketing Director your role will focus on the following key areas:
- Strategic Marketing Planning & Execution – Develop and execute marketing strategies to support Divisional revenue growth and leading market positioning.
- Brand Positioning & Campaign Development – Ensure all marketing initiatives align with Divisional brand guidelines and Hand Picked Hotels creative standards.
- Digital & Social Media Performance – Implement best-in-class digital marketing strategies to maximise SEO, PPC, and CRM effectiveness in conjunction with the Head of Digital who is aligned to the Top Co team.
- Public Relations & Reputation Management – Oversee outsourced PR efforts to build and protect the brand reputation.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Commercial Performance – Work closely with internal teams and manage budgets to drive ROI across all marketing channels.
To be considered for this role of Divisional Marketing Director you must have a minimum of 10 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry, specifically in luxury hotels. Be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey the brand message to various stakeholders. Ability to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the hotel's business goals and target markets. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Innovative mindset with a strong sense of creativity to develop unique marketing campaigns and promotions. Proficiency in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing. Have a bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
