We’re looking for a commercially driven and relationship-focused Cluster Sales Manager to join Hand Picked Hotels, supporting a cluster of 2 of our distinctive luxury hotels, Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa set in the Cheshire countryside and New Hall Hotel & Spa located in Sutton Coldfield.
This is a proactive, outward-facing sales role for someone who loves building relationships, uncovering new opportunities, turning local connections into long-term commercial partnerships and helping to grow revenue across the local market.
What will the role involve?
Working closely with our Director of Sales, General Managers, hotel Sales & Events teams and Revenue colleagues, you’ll take ownership of local sales activity across your cluster, with a focus on corporate and group rooms, meetings and conferences, private dining, food & beverage and hotel experiences.
- Developing and managing strong local relationships and key hotel accounts to drive revenue across all segments.
- Hunting for new business opportunities and building a healthy pipeline of corporate, conference and group business.
- Proactively researching and approaching new contacts using local market insight, Opera, Tableau and platforms such as Linked In.
- Driving awareness and sales of hotel events, dining, leisure experiences and other local opportunities through B2B and B2C relationships.
- Building partnerships with agencies, professional networks, local attractions, destination organisations and brand partners.
- Supporting property Sales & Marketing Plans and activating seasonal sales initiatives within the local market.
- Working with hotel teams and the Central Conference Desk to convert enquiries and maximise opportunities across the wider Hand Picked Hotels collection.
- Monitoring competitor activity and market trends, sharing insight that helps our hotels stay commercially competitive.
- Maintaining accurate sales activity and opportunities within Opera Sales & Catering and delivering agreed KPIs and reporting.
You’ll be visible in the market, regularly meeting clients and representing Hand Picked Hotels as a confident brand ambassador, while also working closely with hotel teams to build a strong sales culture on property.

- You will have a proven proactive sales experience, ideally within hotels, hospitality, meetings & events, leisure or a related customer-focused environment.
- You will be a natural relationship builder, confident networking with corporate clients, agencies, local partners and professional networks.
- Be able to demonstrate a strong commercial mindset with the drive to identify, develop and convert new business opportunities.
- It is essential you are highly organised and self‑motivated, comfortable balancing multiple hotels, priorities and demanding timescales.
- You’ll be confident working collaboratively with General Managers, operational teams, Sales & Events and Revenue colleagues.
- Competent with using CRM and sales systems to manage accounts, opportunities and activity; experience of Opera Sales & Catering and Tableau would be advantageous.
- You’ll be curious about your local market and competitors and enjoy using insight to find new ways to grow revenue.
- Be a positive and professional ambassador for Hand Picked Hotels, with the flexibility to travel regularly within your cluster and local market
