Come and join our Team... We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Casual Kitchen Porter at Rhinefield House Hotel, part of Hand Picked Hotels. Known locally as the 'Jewel in the Forest', Rhinefield House is an award-winning luxury hotel steeped in natural beauty, hidden deep within the New Forest National Park.
The role of Kitchen Porter at Rhinefield House Hotel is essential in supporting the delivery of an exceptional dining experience by ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation. Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen brigade, the Kitchen Porter plays a key role in maintaining a smooth day-to-day kitchen operation.
As Kitchen Porter, your responsibilities will centre around:
- Maintaining immaculate hygiene standards across all kitchen areas, including dishwashing and cleaning of equipment.
- Ensuring all back-of-house areas are organised and well-presented.
- Supporting chefs by ensuring that equipment, utensils, and service items are clean, available, and ready for use at all times.
- Assisting with basic food preparation when required.
- Monitoring waste disposal and adhering to strict health and safety and food hygiene regulations.
- Supporting stock organisation and deliveries.
This is a casual role where hours may vary depending on business.
