Support Worker - Children - Level 3 Qualified (Temp to Perm) £13.00 - £13.70 per hour + Overtime Opportunities (£17.50+ per hour OT) Safer Hand Solutions are working in partnership with a well-established children's care provider to recruit a Level 3 Qualified Support Worker on a 12-week temporary-to-permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive residential service providing care and support to children and young people with additional needs, including learning disabilities, sensory impairments, complex needs, and behaviours that may challenge.

The 12-week temp-to-perm arrangement allows both you and the employer to ensure the role is the right long-term fit before moving into a permanent position.

The Role

As a Level 3 Residential Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential setting.

You will help create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will build positive relationships, support daily routines, and promote positive outcomes for the young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop positive and trusting relationships with young people
  • Support daily living activities and routines

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - Essential
  • Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential or similar environment

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality care and support
  • Full UK Driving Licence desirable
  • Safeguarding

The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and all relevant pre-employment screening in line with safeguarding requirements.
