The role: We are looking for an enthusiastic new recruit to join Hanbury Strategy's Media Monitoring Unit! This is a permanent, full-time position.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Producing high quality media and political reporting for our clients on a daily basis.
- Monitoring the news across print, broadcast, social and online, as well as parliamentary monitoring as needed.
- Writing sharp summaries of key news articles and political developments to a high standard for Hanbury's clients and internal teams.
- Being a key member of Hanbury's Media Monitoring Unit and becoming skilled at using monitoring tools such as Meltwater.
You will:
- Have a genuine interest in public relations, communications and politics.
- Be a news junky!
- Be a proactive 'self-starter': someone who takes the initiative to volunteer for tasks, is energetic in making the most of the opportunity, and offers ideas at meetings.
- Want to learn new things.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be organised and have good time management: you can juggle different activities, understanding what needs to be prioritised, and will flag if deadlines won't be met.
- Show attention to detail: you consistently ensure that you review your pieces of work and submit to a good standard even when things are busy.

- Have a strong work ethic.
Who's eligible: Anybody over the age of 18. A degree is not required - we're looking for a passion for media and politics.
