We are exclusively recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor for our client, a FTSE listed commercial business, due to an internal promotion. This high‑profile position represents the Head Office and its values and vision as a Group. As the sole representative for audit in a governance‑focused team, the role reports directly to the Global Head of Internal Audit & Risk.

Location and Travel

You will be based in the Group head office in Derby, UK, covering the various retail (online and offline) markets in which the Group operates. Travel will be very limited, mostly around other UK locations, less than 10% of the time.

Responsibilities & Expectations

The team provides assurance across the global business – to Finance, HR, IT and Operations – and you will be expected to apply your skills across diverse areas. The audit & risk team is seen as a corporate advisory group, taking on a wide range of topics across the business. Delivery of results, excellent communication and influencing skills, and determination to make a difference are essential.

Qualifications

  • Top 10/Big 4 trained, ideally a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA, CIMA, CIA, etc.).
  • First or second move into industry preferred.
  • Fluency in English; fluency in French is an advantage.
  • Experience with SOX is beneficial.
