This role requires your own vehicle and mileage will be paid.
About the Role
At Hana Group UK, we bring authentic, high-quality sushi to customers through our Sushi Gourmet kiosks located within retail environments. We are looking for a skilled Sushi Chef to step into an Area Support Manager role, providing daily hands-on and remote support to kiosk teams across your region. This is a dynamic position where no two days are the sameâyouâll be a key point of contact for colleagues, ensuring operational consistency, boosting team morale, and maintaining the highest standards across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily support to Sushi Gourmet kiosks, both on-site and remotely
- Offer guidance, coaching, and encouragement to kiosk colleagues to drive performance and engagement
- Ensure consistent delivery of sushi quality, presentation, and food safety standards
- Conduct occasional kiosk audits to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures
- Finalise and support ordering processes for kiosks within your area
- Review and validate submissions on the companyâs compliance platform
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
- Support new kiosk openings and operational rollouts
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation, food safety, and hygiene standards (HACCP)
- Experience supporting or supervising teams (multi-site experience is advantageous)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a supportive leadership style
- Comfortable working independently and managing priorities across multiple locations
- Flexible and willing to travel daily within your assigned region

Qualifications
- Be accountable for the Kiosk and the team, maintaining audit standards for food and health & safety compliance while meeting EHO expectations
- Ensuring the team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and food safety on site to maintain a safe environment for our customers, our clients and ourselves
- Highly organised, with a focus on forward planning
- Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift
- Accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift
- Be a skilled multitasker who has experience of placing weekly orders, daily stock rotation and producing monthly stock take
- An early riser as shifts can start at 6am some days
- Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered
