We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our front desk team at Crowne Plaza London Kingston. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment, demonstrating strong organisational and communication skills. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist our diverse guest base.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently
  • Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professional phone etiquette
  • Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities
  • Process payments accurately and maintain detailed records of transactions
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure a positive experience
  • Maintain a tidy and organised reception area at all times
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and reporting as required

Experience

  • Previous experience in hotel reception or customer service roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent guest services with professionalism and courtesy
  • Familiarity with hospitality software systems is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and local area attractions enhances the guest experience
