Position: Hampton School is one of the country’s foremost academically selective independent schools. Located at the West Gate entrance, the Porter welcomes visitors and is responsible for providing an excellent first impression of the School as well as ensuring the security and safety of the School, its pupils and employees. The successful applicant should have a friendly demeanour, be professional and customer-focused.
Responsibilities:
- Operate dual security barriers at the main entrance to control entry and exit.
- Politely welcome and provide direction to authorised staff, parents and visitors.
- Deal with unauthorised individuals and vehicles professionally.
- Securely receive parcels delivered to the School.
- Make arrangements for large deliveries.
- Allocate security passes for DBS-checked visitors.
- Ensure the security of the School entrance remains intact.
- Perform duties in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the Bursar or Estates Manager.

Other Information:
This post is part-time, term-time, Monday to Friday during Hampton School term time and will start in September 2026. You will work on a split shift rota. Holidays should be taken during school holidays unless with express permission from the Estates Manager.
