Purpose of the Role

The IT Technician provides first and second-line technical support across Hampton School, ensuring staff and pupils receive a professional, responsive, and customer-focused IT service. The role involves resolving day-to-day technical issues, supporting classroom technology, and contributing to the reliable operation of the School's IT services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-line technical support to staff and pupils across the School.
  • Respond to incidents and service requests in a professional, timely, and customer-focused manner.
  • Accurately record, update, and manage support tickets.
  • Support desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, printers, and classroom technology.
  • Assist with user account administration and routine maintenance activities.
  • Maintain IT equipment and work areas to a high standard.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of IT services.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils.
  • Experience providing IT support in a customer-focused environment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and common desktop applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Hours and Salary

This is a full-time position with working hours from 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. The remuneration package includes pay for holidays and a generous salary scale and benefits package.
