Hampton Medical Centre is currently looking for a Salaried GP to join our busy practice for six to eight sessions a week. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group. We may close applications early if we find the right candidate.
About The Candidate:
- Fully qualified General Practitioner with GMC registration.
- Be on the NHSE medical performers list.
- Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the Practice.
Main duties of the job:
- In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, develop care plans for health.
About us:
We are a rapidly growing practice in the Hampton area of Peterborough, a high QOF achieving practice with a good CQC rating. It is a training practice, supervising Cambridge and Leicester medical students as well as physician associates, clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and assistant general practitioners. We have a strong nursing team with ANPs, nurse associates, practice nurses and two triage nurses. Our management team consists of a business manager and an assistant practice manager.

Job responsibilities:
- Supervision of learners.
- Providing counselling and health education.
- Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Collecting data for audit purposes.
