This advert is to recruit a doctor who is working as a General Practitioner in the UK or is a newly qualified General Practitioner. We have TIER2 visa sponsorship as well. Hampton Medical Centre is currently looking for a Salaried GP to join our busy practice for 4 - 8 sessions a week. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group. The practice reserves the right to close the advert at any time.
About the Candidate
- Fully qualified General Practitioner with GMC registration
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the Practice.

Main duties of the job
- In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post holder will make himself/herself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, develop care plans for health.
About us
We are a rapidly growing practice in the Hampton area of Peterborough, a high QOF achieving practice, with a good CQC rating, and a training practice which not only has GP trainees but also supervises Cambridge and Leicester medical students. We have several ARRS roles e.g. Clinical Pharmacists, Care Coordinators, Social Prescriber Link Worker, Assistant General Practitioner working in the practice. We have a strong nursing team with ANPs, Practice nurse and triage nurse. Our management team consists of Business Manager and Reception Manager.
Job responsibilities
- Providing counselling and health education.
- Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
