SEND Teaching Assistant (Level 2)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to support pupils at Hampton Lakes Primary School.
The children at Hampton Lakes are happy, resilient young learners and we are proud to support a wide range of needs at Hampton Lakes, including; Autism, Down’s Syndrome, ADHD and Dyslexia. We have many children who are developing their communication skills and need support through the delivery of Speech and Language Programmes. We aim for all children to reach their potential, and know that the role of a Teaching Assistant supports this success.
The SEND Teaching Assistant (Level 2) role involves supporting the learning opportunities for all pupils, including supporting children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
As part of your role as a SEND Teaching Assistant you will be required to carry out 30 minutes of Midday Supervision per day, which is a great way to build positive relationships with all children.
The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the Every Child Matters framework and have a passion for helping children achieve their full potential. Applicants should have some experience working with children and feel comfortable in a school environment, demonstrating the ability to respond sensitively and appropriately to a range of situations.
We are looking for individuals who are confident working with young children, and experience or passion for working in a primary setting would be advantageous. Candidates should be able to engage effectively with pupils and promote positive behaviour.
