Are you an experienced Physics teacher ready to lead and inspire? Hampton Gardens is seeking a Head of Physics to join our thriving Science Department from September 2026. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a passionate educator to shape the future of Physics teaching and learning, while supporting colleagues and driving departmental excellence. What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the development and delivery of high-quality Physics teaching across all Key Stages, including A Level.
- Supporting the Head of Science in managing the department and deputising when required.
- Driving curriculum innovation and ensuring schemes of work meet national standards and school priorities.
- Monitoring assessment, recording, and reporting to secure outstanding student progress.
- Mentoring and supporting colleagues, including ECTs and trainee teachers.
- Contributing to enrichment activities such as STEM clubs, trips, and competitions.
- Playing a key role in departmental development planning and resource management.
What We’re Looking For
- A well-qualified Physics specialist with Qualified Teacher Status and experience teaching across Key Stages, including Key Stage 5.
- Experienced in raising attainment and leading departmental initiatives.
- Skilled in curriculum planning, assessment, and data analysis.
