We have a unique opportunity available within our Religious Education Department for an Apprentice Teacher of RE. We will support the successful candidate to gain qualified teacher status through a local provider. This is a Fixed Term position for one year, covering a period of maternity leave. During this time we will support the successful candidate in gaining qualified teacher status.
We have an excellent mentoring programme in school, both within our RE Department as well as being supported by our Assistant Head of School in charge of Academic Mentoring. We can offer a programme of studies, development and training opportunities, as well as mentoring support to guide you through your studies. This role is full time and includes relevant release time to complete your studies.
About the Department: We offer Religious Education at GCSE & A-Level through AQA. Critical thinking and original thought are key aspects of all our RE lessons, and we encourage students to develop their own independent thoughts on religious, philosophical and ethical topics.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver engaging lessons that inspire creativity and foster a love for your subject
- Contribute to curriculum development and exciting departmental projects
- Use effective assessment strategies to support student progress and attainment
- Promote high standards of behaviour and engagement in lessons and around school
- Support students as a form tutor, working closely with the pastoral team
- Contribute to extra-curricular activities, visits and competitions to extend student learning

It sits within Hampton Academies Trust (HAT) and works closely with neighbouring schools such as Hampton Gardens and Hampton Lakes.
