We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with both hand and power tools. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations/tyre fitting and brake inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes and electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance and a qualified MOT Tester.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external customers regarding vehicle issues and repairs.
- A valid driving licence.
