We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with both hand and power tools. Duties

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations/tyre fitting and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes and electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance and a qualified MOT Tester.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external customers regarding vehicle issues and repairs.
  • A valid driving licence.
