Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm

About The Role

We are looking for a proactive, organised and people‑focused Learning & Development (L&D) Coordinator to join our Organisational Development team at Hampshire Trust Bank. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to projects, coordinating learning programmes, supporting colleague engagement and helping to shape a positive employee experience.

Working as part of a small, collaborative and solutions‑driven team, you will support the delivery of key initiatives across Learning & Development, Internal Communications & Engagement, and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. You will play an important part in strengthening our colleague experience through well‑executed learning events, clear communications and smooth end‑to‑end coordination of activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning & Development Coordination
    • Schedule and coordinate all learning activities (training programmes, workshops, webinars and events).
    • Prepare course materials, manage invitations, organise venues/virtual setups and ensure smooth delivery.
    • Liaise with external training suppliers and manage logistics such as room bookings, catering and access.
    • Maintain accurate attendance records, communications and pre‑work distribution.
    • Deliver Day One induction on a rota basis and support hiring managers with onboarding plans.
    • Research and shortlist internal/external learning solutions.
    • Administer study support requests in line with policy.
    • Support updates to e‑learning content and coordinate engagement surveys.
    • Maintain and update L&D documentation, templates and checklists.
  • Performance Review Support
    • Coordinate the full performance review cycle including system updates and communications.
    • Provide guidance to colleagues and escalate queries when needed.
    • Update process guides and support HRIS setup (Cezanne) for each cycle.
    • Track progress, highlight delays and support reporting and insight gathering.
  • Communications & Engagement
    • Coordinate internal communications supporting learning, performance, EVP and engagement.
    • Support digital content, newsletters, SharePoint updates and the communications planner.
    • Organise engagement activities such as focus groups, forums, wellbeing sessions and Lunch & Learns.
    • Support colleague groups and help drive elements of the EDI agenda.
    • Manage the colleague recognition platform and track usage.
  • Systems, Reporting & Data
    • Maintain accurate learning and performance data across HR systems.
    • Run and update reports and support automation opportunities.
    • Compile core L&D and performance metrics and generate partner‑ready insights.
    • Maintain CPD logs, volunteer reporting and monthly updates for the CPO.
    • Support invoice processing and budget tracking.
    • Review and streamline OD/HR processes and support quarterly improvements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience in L&D, Organisational Development, HR or communications
  • A‑Level education or equivalent (CIPD Level 3 desirable; Level 5 a bonus)
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Clear, confident communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at pace with strong attention to detail
  • Experience coordinating projects or learning events
  • Comfortable working with HR systems and data; strong Excel skills
  • Creative mindset with ability to design materials using templates (e.g., Canva)
  • Customer‑focused and able to respond effectively to queries
  • Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset
