The Role
As a mechanical estimator, it will be vitally important to focus on preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a diverse range of mechanical systems, including HVAC, pipework, and large-scale decarbonisation schemes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients, playing a crucial part in securing new business and ensuring the successful delivery of engineering projects.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from £50k to £60k, dependent on experience.
- Additional £8k car allowance.
- Hybrid working – 1/2 days in office.
- 35 days of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems, encompassing HVAC, plumbing, and pipework.
- Reviewing tender documents, specifications, and drawings.
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive quotations.
- Conducting site visits and attending pre-tender meetings as required.
- Collaborating with the projects team to facilitate smooth handover and project delivery.
- Maintaining and updating estimating tools and databases.
