Are you a skilled Groundworker looking to specialize in utility installation? Our client, a leading specialist in utility network infrastructure based in Petersfield, is looking for ambitious individuals to join their expanding field team. Full training on the operation of the Moling machine will be provided!
The Offer & The Package
- Pay Rate: £200 - £220 per day (Dependent on experience)
- Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (On site/on the job)
- Location: Field-based across Hampshire, Surrey, and Berkshire
- Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
- Groundwork: Preparing sites, setting out, excavating trenches and pits, and backfilling/reinstatement to a high standard.
- Utility Installation: Laying and connecting various utilities, including fibre optic cable and water/gas piping.
- Moling Operation (Training Provided): Operating a pneumatic impact mole to create underground bores for cable and pipe installation with minimal surface disruption (Trenchless Technology).
- Team Collaboration: Working effectively as part of a small, professional team to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Health & Safety: Ensuring all work is carried out in strict accordance with site safety regulations and company policies.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Proven experience as a Groundworker is essential. Experience with utility installation (water, gas, electric, or telecoms) is a strong advantage.
- Attitude: Reliable, hard-working, and genuinely eager to learn new mechanical skills (Moling).
- Licence: Must hold a full, clean UK Driving Licence (essential for the company van).
- Location: Commutable distance to the Petersfield Head Office for occasional meetings, administration, and materials collection.
