A premier maintenance and fire safety contractor is seeking a skilled Carpenter / Joiner to join their expanding Fire Door and Fire Stopping Division. Due to sustained growth and a reputation for excellence, the company is looking for a dedicated professional to uphold their high standards of safety and craftsmanship across London and the South East.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the delivery of critical fire safety projects. You will be asked to visit clients in the CR Postcode area & help with fire door installations.
- Compliance & Safety: Performing comprehensive fire door inspections, servicing, and full installations.
- Technical Repairs: Executing fire stopping works and remedial repairs to ensure total regulatory compliance.
- General Maintenance: Carrying out high-quality carpentry and joinery tasks within the reactive side of the business.
- Standards: Ensuring all works meet current industry products and installation standards while maintaining meticulous documentation via a company PDA.
The client is looking for a "tradesperson’s tradesperson"—someone with deep technical roots and an uncompromising eye for detail. The following are essential requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years’ experience in carpentry and joinery.
- Specialism: Proven, hands-on experience specifically within fire door installation and maintenance.
- Qualifications: Must hold an NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds equivalent in Carpentry & Joinery.
- Compliance: A valid CSCS card and a Full UK Driving Licence.
- Equipment: Possession of a full set of professional-grade tools.
- Attributes: Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a reactive environment.
