The Head and Neck department are looking for an enthusiastic candidate for the role of Admissions Coordinator to primarily support the daily running of ENT admissions.

The successful candidate will work to provide and manage an efficient and effective administration service.

Main duties of the job

This role is situated within the Head and Neck department, the successful candidate will work primarily within ENT and will work closely with consultants, doctors and clinical staff to ensure the smooth running of services.

The ENT department provides services across all of the Trust\’s sites, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Andover War Memorial Hospital and Alton Hospital.

Our unit in Winchester Hospital provides outpatient, day case and elective services to our patients.

Essential criteria

  • Good standard of general Education including English Language, maths of GCSE or equivalent Or ECDL Certificate Or Formal secretarial/senior administration training Or NVQ2 or equivalent plus relevant experience
  • Desirable criteria

  • Customer Care Training Or similar
  • Experience & Knowledge

    Essential criteria

  • Experience in supervising a team
  • Experience of supervising a team in a large, complicated organisation
  • Experience of developing new processes. Experience in implementing change.
  • Able to demonstrate from previous employment history evidence of job-related achievements and success
  • Experience of performance management
  • Experience/ Knowledge of the 18-week pathway
  • Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience of using databases
  • NHS experience in an Acute Trust
  • Knowledge of outpatient clinic structures, waiting lists and outpatient operational procedures.
