The Firvale nursing team are looking for a Healthcare Support Worker to join our ever growing service for children and young people (CYP) with complex healthcare needs at HHFT. The Firvale nursing team work closely alongside our amazing Community Children’s and Special School Nursing teams within an innovative integrated service to provide care to children and young people with complex healthcare needs.

Firvale provides planned episodes of care for in a purpose-built, home away from home environment, with an aim to maintain their health and wellbeing while offering families valuable time to rest. Care breaks range from evening sessions to weekend stays.

Positions at Firvale are rarely available, and we are looking for an outstanding practitioner with experience of working in a health or social care role with children and young people. Ideally, you will have experience of working with children with significant health needs, however full training will be given to an individual who is an ideal fit for the team. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with our wider multi-disciplinary team as well as external agencies, to provide better outcomes for the ever-growing number of children who access our provision.

Patient care is at the heart of what we do at our three sites: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester and Andover War Memorial Hospital. Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides medical and surgical services to a population of approximately 600,000 people across Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire.
