We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our highly respected Orthopaedic Therapy Team at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital. Our team provides an acute orthopaedic service to patients across Hampshire and bordering counties, covering trauma and elective orthopaedic surgery. As part of the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT), you'll have opportunities to collaborate and learn from all members.

Role Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and evaluate trauma orthopaedic patients
- Follow patients from admission to discharge, including complex discharge planning
- Conduct therapy pre-assessment processes
- Support therapy technicians in assessments and barrier identification
- Manage, educate, and advise patients, carers, and healthcare professionals on post-operative management to promote independence and safe discharge
- Undertake comprehensive caseload assessments and formulate clinical treatment plans
- Liaise with orthopaedic consultants and the MDT to meet patient needs
- Recommend and facilitate equipment and home adaptations
- Deputise for Band 7 team leads in operational management when required
- Provide supervision and training within the team and to students
- Engage in quality improvement projects to enhance practice and patient outcomes
Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital is conveniently located near the city of Basingstoke, approximately 50 miles from London and 30 miles from the south coast, accessible via M3 and public transport (manual driving license required).
