At Hampshire Cricket Board, we are committed to inspiring, empowering and connecting communities through cricket. We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Club Development Manager to help lead and deliver our club development strategy across the county. Working closely with the Head of Cricket Development and wider development team, you will play a key role in supporting clubs, volunteers and community programmes to create a thriving, inclusive and sustainable cricket network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and delivery of Hampshire Cricket Board’s club strategy.
  • Lead club development programmes across Hampshire, including the ECB Club Development Framework.
  • Act as the primary contact for clubs within a designated geographical area, providing support with accreditation, planning, governance and funding opportunities.
  • Design and deliver annual networking, education and training opportunities for clubs and volunteers.
  • Lead volunteer recruitment and development initiatives, ensuring opportunities reflect and represent local communities.
  • Oversee club affiliation processes and support clubs in implementing ECB policies and procedures.
  • Support the growth and sustainability of open-age recreational competitions, including midweek leagues, Hampshire Slam, indoor leagues and Last Man Stands.
  • Manage and maintain club CRM systems to improve communication and reduce administration.
  • Work collaboratively with safeguarding, facilities and cricket development colleagues to provide specialist support to clubs.
  • Manage budgets linked to club development programmes and initiatives.
  • Lead county-wide engagement initiatives including Get Set Weekend and Cricket Collective recognition programmes.

About You:

  • We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Has experience working with volunteers, clubs or community organisations.
  • Understands club development, governance and community sport environments.
  • Is highly organised with strong time management skills.
  • Can influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office and digital systems.
  • Is passionate about community sport and making a positive impact.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and can travel independently across Hampshire.

The role is primarily Monday to Friday; however, evening and weekend work will occasionally be required to support events, meetings and programmes.
