The primary focus of this post is to plan, coordinate and deliver high quality small to large scale projects across the Hampshire Rights of Way network on behalf of the Hampshire Countryside Service. These projects play a key role in maintaining and enhancing public access to the countryside, supporting active travel, promoting health and wellbeing, and protecting the county's natural and historic environment.

The role involves liaison with internal teams across Hampshire County Council, as well as with external organisations and funding bodies, to identify, develop and secure alternative funding streams. The post holder will ensure that projects are delivered to a high standard, providing tangible benefits to local communities, landowners, visitors and other stakeholders who rely on a safe, resilient and well managed Rights of Way network.

We’re seeking a highly motivated and adaptable professional with strong project‑delivery experience, particularly within countryside or outdoor environments. You’ll bring well‑developed communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, the ability to manage multiple complex projects, and a practical understanding of health and safety requirements. Confidence using IT and project‑planning tools is essential, along with the ability to travel across Hampshire. A background in project management, construction techniques, partnership working or Rights of Way networks would be beneficial.
