The Business Development Support Officer will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support across multiple business functions within the Countryside Service at Hampshire County Council. This role will support effective governance processes, ensure accurate reporting on projects and work programmes and the smooth coordination of business processes to support project delivery and compliance requirements.

What you’ll do:

  • Support projects by managing funding requests, tracking spend, raising purchase orders, and assisting with grant applications.
  • Maintain reporting systems, monitor dashboards, and produce regular financial and project status reports.
  • Handle general admin such as meeting minutes, inbox management, SharePoint updates, and ensuring governance and deadlines across the service are met.

  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and engage with people at all levels across multiple teams.
  • Ability to work well under pressure both alone and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and demonstrate a passion for developing and implementing new ways of working as well as ensuring processes are followed.
