About the role
Hammersmith & Fulham is committed to ending Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and creating a borough where everyone feels safe. We are seeking a skilled and motivated VAWG Programmes and Partnerships Lead to play a key role in delivering the Council’s Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy (2022–2027). This post is being offered on a fixed‑term basis until May 2027 to cover an internal secondment.
Based within the Community Safety Team, the role is responsible for designing, commissioning and delivering services for victim/survivors of VAWG, with a particular focus on criminal justice support and safe accommodation. The Lead will:
- Lead specific VAWG programmes and oversee commissioned services.
- Support partnership‑led delivery across the VAWG portfolio.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including the Metropolitan Police and specialist VAWG organisations, to strengthen partnership working.
- Contribute to strategic development, prepare briefings and reports for senior officers and elected members, and represent the council at local and pan‑London partnership forums.
- Provide clear communication and confident leadership to ensure effective delivery.

Qualifications
Educated to degree level or relevant work experience in modern slavery and exploitation, violence against women and girls, safeguarding, anti‑social behaviour and/or community safety.
