About the Role
Assisting the Rangers at Royal Victoria Country Park, you will deliver a programme of practical works to support high‑quality park management. You will carry out frequent site patrols and litter picking, maintain site infrastructure and manage grassland and woodland habitats, particularly during peak summer and bird nesting seasons. You will support day‑to‑day park operations in busy periods and provide general grounds maintenance in quieter times. The role involves regular contact with volunteers and occasional support of their activities. You will be required to work weekends and, when needed, cover for staff leave or sickness.
Qualifications and Skills
- Good interpersonal skills and effective communication with the public and volunteers.
- Ability to undertake physically demanding tasks, including site patrols, litter picking and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Current, clean driving licence.
- Enthusiastic, flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a small team.
