The Role:
Join Hampshire’s School Crossing Patrol Service and become a valued part of your local community by helping to keep children and families safe on their journeys to and from school. This is a rewarding and highly visible role where you’ll play a key part in promoting road safety and making a positive difference every day.
What you’ll do:
As a School Crossing Patrol, you’ll take on a vital role in your community - helping children and families cross the road safely during busy school run times. You’ll be a calm and reassuring presence at designated crossing points, ensuring pedestrians are protected and traffic is managed with care and confidence. Your role is essential in making sure children and other pedestrians can travel to and from school safely.
This position involves working 10 hours per week during school term time, typically one hour in the morning and one in the afternoon. You’ll be provided with a uniform to keep you protected in all weather conditions, and you’ll be part of a valued team making a real difference every day.
