The Homes for Ukraine scheme, launched by the UK Government in March 2022, offers British residents the opportunity to host Ukrainian nationals and their families fleeing the war, providing them with safety, stability, and access to work, education, and public services.
Joining our Homes for Ukraine Operations Team as a Project Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting this life‑changing initiative. Your empathy, understanding, and commitment to supporting families in need will ensure you thrive in this challenging, yet fulfilling role.
Main duties of the job:- Deliver Homes for Ukraine services, including sponsor checks, accommodation visits, DBS processing, and regular follow‑ups to ensure safety and compliance.
- Keep systems up to date with accurate information, ensuring timely and reliable records that support smooth service delivery.
- Provide hands‑on community support, working independently and alongside voluntary sector partners to meet the needs of Ukrainian guests and hosts.
- Act as a trusted advocate, offering guidance, referrals, and signposting to essential services where needed.
- Share your expertise by mentoring and training colleagues and actively participate in team meetings, supervision, and multi‑agency networking events.
