Join our Practice Excellence team as a motivated and proactive Practice Learning and Quality Support Officer. In this varied and rewarding role, you'll play a key part in supporting social work practice and quality assurance across Adults' Health and Care. You'll help drive improvements in the way we work, supporting colleagues and embedding a culture of continuous development within the directorate. Responsibilities
- Co‑ordinate Safeguarding Adults Reviews and Domestic Abuse‑Related Death Reviews, including administration, tracking, attendance arrangements and factual accuracy checks.
- Support effective meeting management, including scheduling, preparation and co‑ordination.
- Assist with the development, monitoring and delivery of action plans linked to reviews and practice improvement.
- Produce and present data, performance information and materials for a range of meetings and audiences.
- Support practice quality work, including preparing information for audits and helping co‑ordinate Senior Social Worker and Excellent Practice Validation processes.
- Manage key documentation and workflows, including developing chronologies, tracking external reports and Coroner's documentation, and maintaining the Practice Excellence workplan.
- Be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values learning, reflection, and innovation and has a service‑wide impact.
- Enjoy working at the centre of practice improvement across Adults' Health and Care where your contribution directly supports social work practice, safeguarding and learning from practice.
Qualifications
- Experience in quality assurance and practice development, including involvement in audits, reflective learning or case reviews, and supporting or delivering learning events and CPD opportunities for practitioners.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Skilled at building relationships and working confidently with colleagues at all levels.
- Detail driven, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled and confident with a range of IT systems, including Excel, Co‑Pilot, PowerPoint and Forms.
- Able to interpret data and present it clearly and accurately.
- Comfortable managing sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Motivated by improving systems, supporting learning and contributing to better outcomes for residents.
