About The Role
Are you a competent trainer looking for a new and exciting challenge? Do you have a passion for making a difference and equipping others with vital first aid skills? If so, we would love to hear from you. The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Police are looking to recruit additional Trainers to join their First Aid Training Team. You don’t necessarily need to already be a qualified trainer — if you have transferable skills such as presenting, coaching, mentoring, or teaching, and a genuine interest in first aid, we want to hear from you. Being first aid trained yourself, or having a passion for helping others learn life‑saving skills, will be a strong foundation for success in this role. In order to succeed, you must be motivated and enthusiastic about all aspects of first‑aid training. You will support our ongoing programme of first‑aid and enhanced skills courses for Police Officers and Police Staff across Hampshire & Isle of Wight. The successful candidates will develop and deliver knowledge and skills training on agreed subject areas, ensuring that participants are trained to a high standard and in line with current regulations, policies and protocols as laid down by the College of Policing, Local Clinical Governance and Health and Safety regulations. Being adaptable to change and possessing a flexible mind‑set is essential.

Essential Qualifications
- Educated to QCF Level 3 or relevant experience.
- Maths & English at QCF Level 2.
- Possess a recognised Learning & Development qualification – Level 3, or significant work‑related training / education experience that may be deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level.
- Able to demonstrate recent experience in training, delivery and assessment.
