Contract: Full Time and Permanent

Salary: £47,046 to £50,949 per annum, with additional market supplement of £5,000 per annum.

About the role

Step into a role where your clinical expertise genuinely shapes the wellbeing and resilience of those who serve our communities. You’ll deliver high‑quality Occupational Health support, work closely with multidisciplinary teams and play a key part in keeping our workforce healthy, safe and ready for duty.

Your role on any day may include:

  • Delivering expert clinical assessments, health surveillance and fitness‑for‑work evaluations that help keep the workforce healthy, safe and operational.
  • Providing accessible Occupational Health support through in‑person, phone and virtual appointments, with occasional travel across HIOWC to reach teams where they are.
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary professionals to create clear, effective OH reports, rehabilitation plans and return‑to‑work guidance.
  • Offering trusted clinical advice during recruitment, case management, major incidents and public‑health situations such as pandemics or disease outbreaks.
  • Keeping accurate, compliant clinical records while managing a varied caseload with professionalism and autonomy.
  • Contributing to workforce wellbeing by attending case conferences and delivering vaccinations when required.

About You

  • Can you demonstrate substantial clinical experience and are you trained in health‑surveillance techniques such as audiometry, spirometry and vision screening?
  • Do you have experience working within Occupational Health?
  • Are you able to maintain clear, accurate and compliant records?
  • Are you a Registered General Nurse with current Nursing & Midwifery Council registration?
  • Do you hold a recognised Occupational Health degree and do you have Occupational Health Specialist Practitioner status (Part 3 NMC)?
