We are seeking a Catering Team Leader to join our team at the Barn Café, located within the beautiful River Hamble Country Park. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern, light‑filled café serving good mood food and great coffee in a stunning countryside setting. Our offer includes freshly baked pastries, vibrant cakes, and freshly made sandwiches using locally sourced ingredients.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare and serve high‑quality food and drink, delivering excellent customer service to every visitor at River Hamble Country Park.
  • Ensure all food and drink preparation meets food safety standards and complies with the Countryside Food Safety Management System.
  • Support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the catering service, deputising for the Catering Manager when required.

What we’re looking for:

  • You will bring a successful background in hospitality, with excellent customer service skills and a good working knowledge of ordering, record keeping and stock control.
  • Previous team leader experience is desirable but not essential.
  • You will demonstrate a keen eye for detail and maintain immaculate personal presentation.
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills, you will put the customer at the heart of everything you do.
  • You’ll be comfortable working in a busy environment, able to perform well under pressure, and remain calm and professional when dealing with unexpected situations.
  • Above all, you will be enthusiastic, self‑motivated and passionate about delivering great customer service.
