Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) Corporate Services Directorate have an exciting opportunity for 2 individuals to join the service on a 2 year apprenticeship programme. HIWFRS is a fantastic place to work. The service provides a friendly and welcoming environment, developing people and helping them to reach their goals.
The Corporate Services Directorate enables the organisation in its public duties by providing the infrastructure which supports activities and ensures the organisation complies with statutory responsibilities. We have recognised the need to invest in our future leaders, who can bring a blend of academic knowledge and innovative thinking to the organisation.
There are five departments within the Directorate, and the successful candidates will get the opportunity to work in all of them. These are:
- Property & Facilities
- ICT
- Corporate Governance & Support
- Operational Assets
- Performance & Evaluation
The post holder will complete a two-year Associate Project Management apprenticeship that aligns closely with the daily duties for each department, whilst providing a recognised certificate of qualification. Our goal is to give the apprentice a practical understanding of the organisation and supplement with formal training.
