Hammersmith & Fulham Family Hubs Team are seeking an Early Years Practitioner to support a range of activities in our family hubs and outreach. The early years are an important time when the foundations for future mental health, emotional regulation, love of learning and parenting resilience are all set in place. This role is key in supporting Hammersmith & Fulham’s families to secure the best possible outcomes for families and their children.

The role will be engaged in a range of early years activities within our Family Hubs and Children’s Centres. The post will provide support and guidance to families who access our services and seek positive outcomes for their children. The role will require the ability to travel across the borough’s children’s centres, delivering integrated services to the needs of families including SEND services. The successful postholder will ensure consistent, quality service provision, supporting effective front-line service delivery and improving outcomes for all children and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of early years provision within family hubs and linked children’s centres.
  • Ensure the delivery of the children’s centre core offer, universal family support services and extended services in partnership with providers.
  • Support the expansion of early years services within the family hubs and children’s centres and through outreach activities.
  • Ensure delivery of early years services in accordance with statutory requirements, national guidelines and agreed performance targets.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to families and their children and respond to needs of family hub service users.
  • Ensure high quality delivery of the EYFS Curriculum Guidance to all young children including SEND.
  • Support the wider work of the family hubs, including SEND support.
  • The ability to be adaptable and undertake a variety of roles including family hub reception duties.
