Joining our team at New Forest Community Link as a Driver, you'll work a split shift from 8:15am - 10:00am and 3:00pm - 4:45pm Monday to Friday, safely transporting passengers between different locations, using our minibus.
What you'll do:
- Play a key role in enabling the people who use our services to access a variety of personalised and meaningful activities.
- Provide a warm welcome and friendly face to passengers.
- Ensure passengers have a comfortable and safe journey at all times.
- Treat all individuals with dignity and respect.
- Demonstrate core values of patience, compassion and empathy, even in challenging situations.
A current full driver's licence with a Category D1 code (or equivalent) is required. You'll undertake MIDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) training once in the role, if you haven't already completed this. Reliability and commitment to provide a professional and punctual service is essential. You must be physically able to assist passengers with mobility issues, including those using wheelchairs, and be understanding and sensitive to individual needs, adapting your communication style as needed.
