The Role:

As a Delivery Manager in our Adult Social Care and Health Commissioning team, you can make a powerful contribution, delivering work that touches people’s lives at their most vulnerable moments. This role spans both the City of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is central to developing high quality, diverse care and support services that enable residents to maximise their wellbeing and remain independent and live healthier for longer. You will own and deliver high-impact work across the full commissioning cycle.

Our commissioned services cover a broad range of provision to our service users, including home care, day opportunities, care homes, extra care housing, advocacy, and short breaks for service users such as older people, those with learning disabilities, and individuals with mental health needs. You will be responsible for leading project teams on commissioning and recommissioning projects, ensuring effective service design and delivery. It’s important that you’re able to balance moving projects at pace, while ensuring quality, compliance and good practice. Often you’ll be handling multiple projects at different stages of the commissioning cycle at once. Through clear documentation, organising regular communication, and project plans, you’ll ensure that projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Our work culture encourages collaboration, flexibility, and practical learning. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic, curious and committed individual to join us and drive forward meaningful outcomes for our residents.

To be fit for the role, you’ll be confident in project management and delivery. Good practice comes so easily to you that you’re able to role-model it for others. Plus, you can work effectively with a range of stakeholders to drive and keep track of complex delivery programmes.

You have experience working within a legislative or regulatory environment. While it isn’t essential, it would be beneficial for you to bring knowledge in commissioning, public health, adult social care, housing. An understanding of how councils operate and work with partners to deliver services for residents will also be helpful.

Strong relationship-building skills are crucial to this role. You can collaborate with and manage stakeholders. A strong negotiator, you can set priorities and manage potentially complex, challenging conversations.

You’ll be comfortable turning to IT solutions to record and share project status and details.
