Role Overview

As a Delivery Lead for Prevention, Support and Solutions in our Housing Solutions and Homelessness Service, you will shape a high‑performing, resident‑focused service that helps achieve better outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead improvement initiatives, influence policy and practice, and partner with colleagues across the Council, voluntary sector and housing providers.
  • Build trust with stakeholders and the community, offering early support and connecting residents before crises escalation.
  • Conduct outreach, drop‑ins, home visits and pop‑up advice sessions.
  • Balance competing priorities across KPIs, quality standards and budgets.
  • Manage strategic risk and escalate complex cases where necessary.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, inclusion and continuous improvement within your team.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience leading homelessness services with a strong emphasis on prevention.
  • Track record of measurable improvements in prevention, resident and performance outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience embedding change in accordance with existing legislation, statutory frameworks and guidance.
  • Proven ability to translate policy into effective frontline delivery.
  • Experience managing budgets, resources and performance at a senior level.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and build networks of influence.
  • Commitment to respectful, sensitive engagement with residents.
