The Role: As a Contracts & Governance Coordinator, you can make your own powerful contribution to people across Westminster. Working at the centre of strategic decision making, you’ll bring together stakeholders, contract managers and service providers to facilitate strong governance, clear accountability and high standards of performance across the Council’s Housing Directorate. Ensuring that all stakeholders are appropriately represented and consulted in the strategic development of services, you’ll work across the full life‑cycle of projects to establish partnership working, effective communication and problem solving between the Council and contractors. Through proactive contract management and performance oversight, you’ll ensure compliance, mitigate risk and optimise value for money. Working alongside colleagues, you’ll help identify issues and opportunities for development — putting Westminster’s residents and communities at the heart of everything you do.
An established professional with knowledge of legislation relevant to social housing, procurement and local governance frameworks, you’ll have a strong understanding of housing management, compliance and resident engagement. Skilled in analysing performance data to monitor and improve contractor performance, you’ll have proven experience of managing and delivering projects with a focus on governance, risk management and service improvement. On a personal level, you’ll be a true team player with excellent communication skills. Bringing the ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the Council and beyond, you’ll be organised, proactive and calm under pressure.
