Role: As an Assistant (Apprentice) Outdoor Instructor, you will develop and deliver outdoor activity sessions for groups visiting the centre, including youth with special educational needs. You will support conservation, grounds management, risk assessments, and training events as part of a live-in role on a 56 acre Surrey Hills site.
Responsibilities:
- Run outdoor activity sessions for groups, including those with SEN.
- Assist the grounds person with conservation and grounds management tasks.
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure safety and security on site.
- Attend training events, workshops and tutorials.
- Participate in an evening working rota as part of the live-in role.
Qualifications & Skills:
- No specific qualification required, but experience with children or young people is beneficial.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Comfortable with heights and confined spaces.
- Must be a confident swimmer; STA pool responder training will be provided.
- Capable of working as a motivated, enthusiastic team player.
