Joining our Participation and Lifelong Learning service as a Business Support Officer, you’ll apply your administrative expertise to help Hampshires’ young people and adults progress and thrive in education, employment, and lifelong learning. You’ll provide essential business administrative support to the Hampshire Outdoors service area, helping to deliver work that makes a meaningful difference to the community.
What you’ll do:
- Be at the heart of our daily operations, managing post, inbox communications, and coordinating room bookings and meeting support.
- Play a key role in keeping our service visible and well‑resourced by coordinating printing, maintaining office supplies, and updating our social media and service webpages.
- Lead on finance processes, including invoices, Internal Trading Documents and Purchase Orders.
- Act as the main point of contact for all Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) enquiries. Process DofE enrolments, completions, volunteer registrations, and maintain volunteer databases (including DBS checks).
- Support and manage bookings for Residentials for DofE and bespoke STA swimming courses.
- Update EVOLVE records for courses.

- Previous administrative experience ideally within a busy office environment.
- Competence using a broad range of software and digital tools.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills and confidence liaising at all levels.
