The Operational Assets department within the Corporate Services Directorate manages and maintains an extensive portfolio of assets, including a comprehensive fleet of vehicles, equipment, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and workwear to enable the effective and efficient delivery of a diverse range of services to the communities of Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
The Operational Assets team deliver a programme of activity including high value procurement projects which follow compliant tender processes that are fair and transparent in the spending of capital budgets. This includes carrying out effective evaluations and trials in conjunction with operational staff, and by utilising existing frameworks and collaborative procurement processes where possible.
