This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic, and motivated activity leaders to join the team at Runways End Outdoor Centre.
The Role:
Runway’s End is Hampshire County Councils first carbon neutral site, sitting beside the Basingstoke Canal and boasts a wide range of adventure and environmental activities on land and water.
At Runways End your time will be split between teaching our schools residentials, family activities and a range of centre tasks to keep the centre operating effectively.
Normal hours of work will average 37 per week (balanced over a four-week period) worked according to a pattern agreed with your manager and will include evening and weekend working according to the operational needs of the Centre.
What you’ll do:
You will complete a full initial training and induction programme to gain a solid understanding of our operational procedures, activities and systems. In your role, you’ll provide instruction to centre customers and support the outdoor centre management with day‑to‑day operations, ensuring that all activities are carried out in line with established health and safety principles and best practices.
What we’re looking for:
It is essential you have experience leading, teaching or coaching young people and groups. Experience of outdoor activities or sports, working in teams and with a variety of people, along with good communication skills, and high levels of customer service skills are also important requirements for the role.
