Clinical Team Lead - Mental Health Support Team in Schools

Havant Full-Time
H

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Qualified CBT Therapist or Clinical Psychologist to join the Mental Health Support Teams in schools (MHST), based in Havant and Gosport.

These are established teams that form part of wider MHST coverage across South East Hampshire and the wider county, with Gosport being one of the first MHSTs developed in Hampshire, and Havant 2 being a newer team, fully operating in schools from January 2024. The teams continue in their development and have established positive working relationships with schools and young people in the area, as well as with professionals across other agencies.

The successful post holder will have Fareham as their base, but will be expected to travel across sites and between schools, as well as, occasionally, across the county, e.g. to attend training, some meetings.

The teams form part of the wider Early Help provision, and will be working closely with our Primary Mental Health Workforce and other MHSTs in the region as well as the locality based community CAMHS teams.

You will work alongside the other Clinical Lead for MHSTs, supporting the Early Help Team Manager. This will be an opportunity to both develop your leadership skills, as well as using your clinical skills to support young people. You will be required to provide line management and clinical supervision to both qualified and trainee clinicians.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will either possess, or be willing to work towards, CBT Supervisor Accreditation and will be the lead position for the low intensity and high intensity clinicians working within both MHSTs.
