The Networked Fire Services Partnership (NFSP) is a collaboration between Devon & Somerset, Dorset & Wiltshire, Hampshire & Isle of Wight and Kent Fire and Rescue Services. We are seeking applications from individuals able to provide a key support function to the NFSP. You will act in the core of the partnership, working flexibly with colleagues across the four services to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the NFSP service. This is an exciting time to join the NFSP as we are implementing a new command and control system with associated projects including onboarding Kent into the Partnership and preparing the way for the new Emergency Services Network. You will play a key role in supporting the adoption of new ways of working, helping to embed meaningful and sustainable change. You will help deliver improved business processes that align with and advance the Partnership’s objectives. This is a highly collaborative position, requiring excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs, identify issues such as fragmented processes, and gather requirements to improve business operations and IT services across the Partnership.
- Rapidly build organisational knowledge (of all 4 partners) to support requirements gathering, solution design, and testing phases.
- Work alongside project managers and business leads to lead and deliver work packages that contribute to the delivery of project outcomes.
- Lead requirements gathering and interpretation, ensuring solutions are evidence-based, practical, and aligned with strategic priorities.
- Support project teams in successfully integrating solutions into operational processes and workflows.
- Facilitate workshops using appropriate analysis methods, leading complex initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Support the full change lifecycle from initial concept to implementation.
- Work with business leads to develop business cases, quantify project benefits, and conduct post-implementation reviews.
You will need strong communication skills and be able to produce reports and present outcomes to non-technical members of the organisation. You will possess strong IT skills particularly in research and analysis, with an excellent attention to detail. Experience of using data to evaluate the effectiveness of service provision is essential. You should have demonstrable experience with Microsoft 365 programmes, and any other analytics experience would be invaluable to the Partnership. Additionally, your personality needs to be engaging as the ability to lead workshops with members of the Partnership at all levels will be essential. This role will work across the whole Partnership, leading or supporting the members of the team. Please note that the successful applicant would be employed by Hampshire and Isle of Wight FRS and that this is primarily a home working based position, with travel across partnership where an in person meeting is required.
